"Thanks for the tight trick bike!"

Birthdays are a fun tradition at our house. After everyone gets ready in the morning you get to come downstairs and open all your presents! Then we head out for a donut before work and school. So Kaiden got up this morning and we asked him to go help us with something in the garage. It took him a minute to see the shiny new bike right in front of him.
Last fall Costco had a fancy bike- Tony pointed out to Kaiden that it had stunt pegs and spin-able handle bars which allowed for tricks. Sadly, through his birthday and Christmas the kid was just too small to ride it. We tried in the store a couple of times, but even with the seat all the way down, it wasn't happening. I was almost positive he was more impressed that this bike had a kickstand than the other features. Then after he opened the ultimate in hot gifts- a triple pack of Bacugan- he was in heaven. That's when he looked at me and said, "Thanks for the tight trick bike and the Bacugan." Ahh, the word tight- did any of you know that was back? My baby is growing up. I wish I could keep him small and ever ready to give me kisses just a little longer. But here he grows- 8 years old. And, in case you didn't know, "trick" bikes and Bacugan are "tight."

If I can't see it, it doesn't exist!

Yesterday I spent the morning cleaning out the pantry. I took everything out and cleaned things up, grouped them, and put everything back together. What you see in the first photo is a view from my height- mind you, the top shelf didn't even make it into the picture. Regardless, the second to top shelf looks completely clean- as you can see. All of the sudden, standing on a chair proved otherwise. The second picture shows what I found after I thought I cleaned everything off the shelf. Sure makes me wonder what is lurking everywhere else I thought was clean!

The Cheer Pictures

Here are the pictures I promised to put up as soon as I had them. I'll try to get some better ones with the other camera soon, but you get the idea. Go Redlands rah rah rah!

A little Fall Fun

Let me begin by asking if anyone knows how to get their husband to SMILE in pictures? It's almost as difficult as try to keep the kids from making funny faces!

We made a Halloween tree for FHE last week. Then we had to try Bella's costume on her that the kids picked out.

This weekend was crazy as usual. But we made time to make Reese Peanut Butter cup Jack O' Lanterns with the kids- 1000 times easier than pumpkins y'all! Kelsey did a great job cheering at the game and pretty much the reminder of my weekdays we filled with making 35 of these party invitations for Kaid's birthday.
